Solving personal problems

Solving personal problems

A good way of tackling your personal problems is to categorize these problems. Take a problem that's keeping you from feeling happy and categorize them in either one of these categories:

  1. Problems you have full control over;
  2. Problems you have no control over;
  3. Problems you have partial control over.

Most problems fall under the third category. These are  the more difficult problems to solve.

Splitting up problems you have partial control over

Splitting up problems you have partial control over

If you are struggling with a problem you have partial control over, split it up into two aspects.

  • Aspects of the problem you have full control over;
  • Aspects of the problem you have no control over.

The aspects you have full control over are easy to pick up on. Write down some steps you can make to battle the problem head on, however small these steps are. The aspects you have no control over are only draining your energy. Let them go. Think of them as a ball rolling away from you. Visualize this step. Writing everything down can be a great help.

CURATOR'S NOTE

This is a great technique to tackle problems that you are dealing with in life I'd wish to share with you.
