Speed up your site score to 85-90 on both mobile and desktop devices

Speed up your site score to 85-90 on both mobile and desktop devices

I've experimented with my website a little.

Sure my site isn't big but it loads faster.

You know how they say, if it takes longer than 30 sec, your visitor is out of there.

But keeping tabs on the following helped me:

  • Optimize for mobile. Check your AMP settings and see if your visitor can switch between a web responsive version and the AMP version.
  • Stick to Arial or a font that's easy on the eyes for most of your content. Fancy text and aesthetics don't qualify as an optimal experience.

  • Use CSS or Javascript "Minifier" to clip your code or shorten it. Your site speed is proportional to how big the chunk of code on it is. Saving space is always a good idea.
  • Websites like TinyPNG are godsend. Before uploading any image to your website, run it past TinyPNG/JPG. It compresses the size which then reduces load time.

On WordPress, you can use the Smush plugin to "smush" images.

  • Look for suggestions on PageSpeed Insights by Google. Simply enter your URL and check the results to see what you can optimize to increase website speed.
  • Use a reliable CDN (Content Delivery Network). Sucuri and Cloudflare are some of the popular ones that help you improve performance and security.

For WordPress, caching plugins like NitroPack can also boost your website's speed.

If you aren't designing your website keeping your user in mind, you're doing it wrong. Creating content and optimizing for mobile users is an essential step. Technically, you'd need code minification & SEO to incorporate search intent.

This app is LOADED with RELEVANT, HELPFUL, AND EDUCATIONAL material. It is creatively intellectual, yet minimal enough to not overstimulate and create a learning block. I am exceptionally impressed with this app!
