Lean startup concept became a name tag after Eric Reis wrote the book 'the Lean Startup'.
Erik describes Startup as an experiment where hypothesis for a result are made. Like in an experiment we seek answer to hypothesis a, then b then c and we learn learn from those experiments to create new and better things.
This is a simplified version of how a startup starts and reaches market as a product or service.
However, in lean startups Erik reis says things work the same way but this process of build measure and learn works in opposite direction.
The system works in a loop flow....
We build, we measure and we learn. We then make changes and build again.
This is like a loop.. we do things again and again till we reach ultimate goal.
Lean works on the principle of building fast, learning faster, making changes and bring the new model. This is all required for building a lean startup.
Likely in experiments we build hypothesis, we create models and we learn. Then we repeat the process with different levelwe make it again and build again.
To be lean we need to start with MVP, minimum viable product. MVP is the first changeable version of a product. MVP has a possibility of change always and if it does not change we are not on right path. MVP is a path to follow and build and test it to see its viability in the market. A web page can work, a simple design less website can work.
Erik says if we don't fail, we are not on right path or we are doing things wrong. By failing erik says nothing is perfect in the start. That's why we learn again and again to become what market is not offering by now.
