  • place thumb over right nostril, ring finger on left nostril, and middle finger between the eyebrows.
  • close the right nostril with thumb and inhale on left nostril very slowly.
  • at top of the breath pase briefly, nostril closed, lift thumb to exhale on right nostril.
  • after exhale close the nostril for a moment, then inhale through the right.
  • continue for 5 to 10 cycles.

  • Sit up straight, relax the shoulder and belly, and exhale.
  • Inhale softly for 5.5 sec., expanding the belly as air fills the bottom of the lungs.
  • Without pausing, exhale softly for 5.5 sec., bringing the belly in as lungs empty. Each breath should feel like a circle.
  • Repeat at least 10 times, more if possible.

  • Sit straight, chin perpendicular to the body.
  • Take a gentle breath in through the nose. At the top of the breath count softly aloud from 1 to 10 over and over.
  • As you reach the natural conclusion of exhale, keep counting in a wispher, letting the voice softly trail out. Then keep lips moving until lungs completely are empty.
  • Continue for 10 to 30 more cycles.
