What's the animedoro technique?

What's the animedoro technique?

The animedoro technique, invented by Josh Chen, is a perfect work time management for people who need more time to focus and for who love watching animes or shows.

It is based on the pomodoro technique: 25 minutes of work and 5 minutes of break, after 4 cycles there is a longer break.

The animedoro changes this technique into 40 to 60 minutes of work and 20 minutes of watching an anime or a show (or other activities) of your choice.

Check the video where Josh explains the technique.

Cons of the pomodoro technique

Cons of the pomodoro technique

  1. Some people need a lot of time to concentrate or to study/work. So they need more time to enter the focus mode and to concentrate. That's way 25 minutes may be too short
  2. For some people 5 minutes of break can be also too short. In 5 minutes you can't do a lot and so it can be not that rewarding.

Why the animedoro technique can be better than the pomodoro technique

Why the animedoro technique can be better than the pomodoro technique

  1. This technique lets you study for a longer period and so it is good for people who need a lot of time to study or to concentrate.
  2. You can feel more motivated to study because after the 40 minutes are gone you'll see a full episode of your favourite show or anime.
  3. Josh Chen said: “If you are enjoying the show or the anime that you are watching you will probably want to see the next episode, and that can be a strong motivator to get you to do that next 40/60 minutes of work.

Try them both.

There are some people who may feel comfortable with the pomodoro technique, and others who may feel more comfortable with the animedoro technique.

Try both these techniques and compare them in order to determine which is the best for you.

This app is LOADED with RELEVANT, HELPFUL, AND EDUCATIONAL material. It is creatively intellectual, yet minimal enough to not overstimulate and create a learning block. I am exceptionally impressed with this app!
