The internet is an unlimited source of knowledge, you just have to know where to look. A good start on where to look are forums and social media platforms.

Have you ever blurted something out and immediately regretted it after realizing what you just said? It sounded good in your head because there’s no one to tell you otherwise. It’s the same problem with ideas.You can come up with seemingly genius ideas, but then when you actually think about it, that idea would turn out to actually be bad or impractical. This is why schools teach group brainstorming and why companies hold meetings when discussing projects.

It’s not that we’re not able to think for ourselves, it’s just that cognitive biases happen to the best of us. That’s why you should run your ideas by to people you trust. Very good ideas are hard to come by. Very good ideas that are original are next to impossible to come by. But it’s a good thing that originality isn’t a necessity for success. Take for example, fast food chains. There are loads and loads of joints selling burgers, yet many of them are successful. It’s because these chains add their own style, flavor, and marketing to their food which sets them apart from competitors.

If you have an idea for a business, a venture, an app, or anything, then great! It’s the first step to success. The next step is evaluating if it’s a good idea. If it is then don’t stop now.
