It is very important for us to grow in our spiritual life and have a relationship with god.sometimes we do struggle a lot in this.so we need to understand the process of growing in our spiritual life and Rick Warren has clearly mentioned about this in his book.

All of our bad habits didn't develop overnight, it's unrealistic to expect them to go away immediately. Requires the hardwork of "removal and placement".The bible calls it removing of old self and putting on the new self.
