As a Manager of a sports team, I've realised a few things,

• Do not call meetings without solid agenda, people tend to think you are just trying to show authority for no valid reason
• As a manager, Try not to leave your players with a text that says Hey, are u available? OR Hey, I want to talk to you,
• It leaves the player thinking that it is bad news
• Use Voice chat Or Face To Face Chat instead of Text messages, has a significant impact on the flow of the conversation
