But love transcends that criteria, that values are never even in our mind when we are talking to that person, we are just so indulged in that conversation that it never occurs to us that for this part of my life I am accepting some stranger without weighing his attributes against some egoistic, demeaning scale. it has the same kind of freedom as friendship and I mean it. It's not a burden, not a responsibility, not a pride, not a shield. It's fulfilling in a complete but subtle way, it happiness in gloom, it's love.
