Sometimes we are told that focusing can truly help us with the problem at hand. It can help us improve our performance but most of the times we end up taking the wrong route and end up in a destination which is far different from the one we had anticipated. Despite trying several times, we often fail to achieve the outcomes that we set out to achieve. So, let’s start by asking this very basic question,
"Are we focusing correctly?"
1. Remember that, PRACTISE indeed makes you good at anything that you plan on improving.
2. The more you learn how to CONCENTRATE, the lesser the time required for mastering a specific skill. Concentration is the key here, when preparing.
3. Have an EXTERNAL FOCUS, while performing. This doesn't mean that I am asking you to be distracted. It simply means that instead of doubling your supply of fears with your internal voices of doubts and insecurity. Curb your distractions. Focus on the things at hand and numb your inner critics. This too unfortunately comes with practise. It's ok to fail, but not ok to assume that you cannot.
