We convey ourselves to see success as a higher position in society or becoming the best in the market.It's fine to have a role model but we should always see what they went through and how many years it took for them to be at that stage. There are no overnight heroes. It's their years of work compounded to become who they are.

When we see a LinkedIn post about somebody joining a big company we feel sad that we are still struggling to get a good job.Here we are comparing our success with others.&nbsp;This is the biggest myth about success.We should always compare our past with the current and see how we came along all these years. If we are not improved personally, professionally then we should focus on how we can improve ourselves in the coming years.

If you want to measure success, better measure your progress with different parameters.One parameter I use is to check if I'm able to do the small tasks that I have decided to do every day which are going to help me in the long-run.This way we are focused on improving ourselves and not worried about the outcome.&nbsp;We achieve great things automatically if we are doing these small things consistently and all those outcomes are bi-products of our consistency.

Change the parameters of measurement

It's not about becoming better than others, It's about becoming a better version of ourselves.

If we can improve 1% every day that will do wonders for us in the long-term.The Power of compounding is inevitable

Make photos of what you are eating, what you are doing or simply what you like. Capture your life so whenever you want you can go back and see visually what you were doing in that specific moment.Let's see you are walking and you see a beautiful flower. You can take a photo of it and once in a while, you can see the photo and you will remember instantly the joy and happiness of seeing that flower.

Watch outside your window, take a walk and just be aware of what is going around.This can help you to become more observant, aware and happier. Watch outside your window right after you wake up for 5 or 10 minutes. Watch the clouds as they move, watch the people as they walk or talk, watch the cars as they pass.When you watch outside your window or when you take a walk try to be fully aware of where you are and what you are seeing. Don't just walk without paying attention of what's going on.

It’s okay to think, but whenever your mind wonders try to be aware of your thoughts, acknowledging them without judgment.

Meditation is the act of focus on one thing at a time. It can be your breath, bodily sensations, or even a song that you like. If you are a beginner, try to meditate 5 minutes or 10 every day.
