Protect creative teams from rigid corporate systems.  Enable innovation through independent units or teams with different processes. Maintain connections to tap company assets. Organize for Innovation: Autonomy feeds Experimentation

Assumptions hold creativity hostage. They anchor thinking to existing paradigms and assumed constraints. Release assumptions to unlock fresh perspectives. Be brutally honest about current beliefs. Ask "What if?" <ul><li>Identify orthodoxies. </li><li>Challenge sacred cows. </li><li>Question everything. </li></ul>Assumptions hide in plain sight. Expose them through reversal - assume the opposite. Reversing assumptions shakes loose hidden insights.

Release Your Assumptions

Seek stimulus from analogous worlds. Adjacent spaces reveal needs and ideas. Connecting disparate domains cross-pollinates creativity.   Zoom out and zoom in perspectives. Import ideas from other industries and contexts. Explore adjacencies beyond physical products into services, experiences and business models.

Customers are innovation allies, not passive recipients. Include them early and often. Collaboration unlocks insights. Customer immersion builds empathy and sparks ideas. <ul><li>Ask for feedback on prototypes. </li><li>Observe behavior.</li><li>Co-create with lead users who live in the future. </li><li>Leverage user communities to accelerate innovation.</li></ul>

Customers Speak Through Actions, Not Words

Prototyping is more important than brainstorming. Instead of only thinking of ideas, we must make ideas tangible as early as possible in order to learn faster.

Speed trumps size. Get to market quickly with a basic offering. Launch small experiments to validate and improve. Think minimum viable product, not maximum product. Test elements individually vs. bundled. Pursue incremental innovation once core product performs.

Jeff Haden, author of The Motivation Myth: How High Achievers Really Set Themselves Up to Win,  explains why we misunderstand motivation.  Motivation is something you can create yourself. When you put in the effort, you will improve. Improvement feels good and motivates you to do what is on your list.

You can't create motivation yourself

The ultimate motivation myth is that we all need motivation to get something done. But instead, we gain motivation when we see ourselves making progress. It is not motivation that leads to action. It's action that leads to success, which leads to motivation, which leads to more action, which generates more success and motivation. This creates a positive dopamine feedback loop.

Why motivation is not the spark

When we're unproductive or wasting our time, we like to tell ourselves we're missing motivation.  We intuitively think that we need this motivation to give us the spark to get started.  However, we can reframe and restructure our lives so that we never need to worry about motivation again.

When motivation doesn't move you to action

Conventional wisdom says we should try and be specialised. We should get really good at one thing. Instead, we should be thinking like generalists. There are so many different skills we can learn that will synergise. Innovation doesn't come from being very specialised in one field but from combining innovation from multiple areas in interesting ways. We don't have to study all fields at once. You can become very good at almost anything in five to seven years, then move on to the next thing.

Becoming serial achievers

We are often told that to get motivation to do something, we should set some kind of goal to motivate us to get started. This theory is misguided.  While there's nothing wrong with setting a goal, a goal isn't enough.  Having a goal to run a marathon will not get you across the finish line. Instead, success depends on the process. When we focus on process, we build the foundations for success and the momentum and positive feedback loop to sustain motivation.

Why Motivation is a Myth

Material possessions can be powerfully alluring – whether it’s buying new stuff we don’t need or can’t afford, or holding on to things for way too long. At the extremes, these inclinations can become highly problematic. Compulsive buying-shopping disorder is characterised by an insatiable desire to buy more things, and hoarding disorder, which involves a seemingly boundless desire to keep and accumulate possessions. Even if your own situation is not so extreme, you might be struggling to feel in control of your stuff.

Compulsive Shopping Of Stuff We Don't Need

Consider what your recipients really want and need. The best way to do that is to ask them.If you'd like to gift something to a person who has stated that they prefer others make a charity donation, then, by all means, donate to that charity if you agree with its values.

The Stuff We Buy For Others

Material possessions can be powerfully alluring - whether it's buying new stuff we don't need or can't afford, or holding on to things for way too long. At the extremes, these inclinations can become highly problematic.<ul><li>Our relationship to our things has deep psychological roots, which starts during early childhood and continually gets reinforced throughout the lifespan.</li><li>Children learn that a teddy bear or blanket provides them with comfort when they are separated from their parents</li><li>Teenagers learn what is cool from their peers and typically want what they have.</li></ul>

Wanting More Possessions

<ul><li>Make a concrete commitment to change your buying and storing habits.</li><li>Put your goals in writing - this will prevent you from forgetting or changing your goals along the way.</li><li>Identify what triggers and reinforces your buying & storing behavior.</li><li>People are motivated to buy and store possessions for many reasons, only one of which is a functional need for an object.</li></ul>To figure out what maintains your behavior, ask yourself: Why you buy and keep hold of things you do not use?What prompts these desires? How do you feel right after you have acquired an item or made the decision to keep something?

What To Do

Triggers: Being in a shopping centre; being with friends in a shopping centre; seeing something that fits with my style and is on sale; wanting to look good for an upcoming special event; believing I’ve earned it because I’ve worked hard.Behaviour: Buying clothes that I think I need, but really just want.Consequences: Enjoyment while shopping; feeling happy when shopping with friends.

<ul><li>Make a concrete commitment to change your buying and storing habits.</li><li>Identify the environmental and emotional causes and consequences of your behavior.</li><li>Develop a plan to resist buying items you don't need.</li><li>Use a one-minute rule when making purchasing or discarding decisions: allow yourself only one minute to decide.</li><li>Track what you buy, store, and discard.</li><li>Reward yourself for meeting your goals.</li></ul>

We use crypto wallets to keep crypto securely. There are different types of crypto wallets. The most popular ones are<ul><li>hosted wallets,</li><li>non-custodial wallets, and</li><li>hardware wallets.</li></ul> The right wallet for you depends on what you want to do with your crypto.

Types of crypto wallets

A self-custody wallet puts you in control of your crypto. While non-custodial wallets provide the software necessary to store your crypto, you have to remember and keep your password, known as a "private key" or "seed phrase". If you lose it, you can't access your crypto. How to set up a non-custodial wallet:<ul><li>Download a wallet app.</li><li>Create your account. You don't have to share any personal info to create a non-custodial wallet.</li><li>Ensure to write down your private 12-word phrase key.</li><li>Transfer crypto to your wallet. You won't always be able to use traditional currencies with this wallet.</li></ul>

Self-custody wallets

The hosted wallet is the easiest to set up. When you buy crypto using an app like Coinbase, your crypto is automatically held in a hosted wallet, where a third party keeps your crypto for you. The main benefit is that you won't lose your crypto if you forget your password. However, a hosted wallet can't access everything crypto can offer. How to set up a hosted wallet:<ul><li>Choose a trusted platform, considering security, ease of use, and government and financial regulations.</li><li>Create your account. You can buy crypto using a bank account or credit card.</li></ul>

Hosted wallets

This wallet is a physical device that stores the private keys to your crypto offline. Hardware wallets are more complex and expensive but have some added benefits, such as keeping your crypto secure even if your computer is hacked. How to set up a hardware wallet:<ul><li>Buy the hardware. Ledger and Trezor are well-known brands.</li><li>Install the software. Each brand has its own software that you should download from the official company website.</li><li>Transfer crypto to your wallet. This wallet doesn't allow you to buy crypto using traditional currencies (US dollar or Euros),</li></ul>

How to set up a crypto wallet

Unlike a normal wallet, which can hold actual cash, crypto wallets technically don’t store your crypto. Your holdings live on the blockchain, but can only be accessed using a private key. Your keys prove your ownership of your digital money and allow you to make transactions. 
If you lose your private keys, you lose access to your money. That’s why it’s important to keep your hardware wallet safe, or use a trusted wallet provider like Coinbase.

Importance Of Crypto Wallets

Using an app like Coinbase Wallet or Exodus gives you easy access to your crypto holdings. You can:<ul><li>Manage all your digital assets in one secure place </li><li>Control your own private keys </li><li>Send and receive cryptocurrency to and from anywhere in the world </li><li>Interact with usernames rather than long, hexadecimal “public key” addresses </li><li>Browse dapps (decentralized finance apps) </li><li>Shop at stores that accept cryptocurrency</li></ul>

Using A Crypto App

<ul><li>The main Coinbase app (or Coinbase.com) allows you to buy and sell crypto or exchange it for fiat currency and transfer it to a bank account. If you just want to invest in Bitcoin or another digital currency it’s all you need. The Coinbase app will securely manage the rights to your private keys.</li><li>Coinbase Wallet is a separate app that allows you to store your private keys and to send, receive, and spend digital money; browse and use DeFi applications, and more. You don’t need a Coinbase account to use Coinbase Wallet.</li></ul>

Difference Between Coinbase App and Coinbase Wallet

Paper and hardware wallets are harder for malicious users to access because they are stored offline, but they are limited in function and risk being lost or destroyed. Online wallets offered by a major exchange like Coinbase are the simplest way to get started in crypto and offer a balance of security and easy access. 
(Because your private info is online, your protection against hackers is only as good as your wallet provider's security – so make sure you look for features like two-factor verification.)

Pros And Cons Of The Various Formats

Crypto wallets store your private keys, keeping your crypto safe and accessible. They also allow you to send, receive, and spend cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
They come in many forms, from hardware wallets like Ledger (which looks like a USB stick) to mobile apps like Coinbase Wallet, which makes using crypto as easy as shopping with a credit card online.

Crypto wallets range from simple-to-use apps to more complex security solutions. The main types of wallets you can choose from include:<ul><li>Paper wallets: Keys are written on a physical medium like paper and stored in a safe place. </li><li>Hardware wallets: Keys are stored in a thumb-drive device that is kept in a safe place and only connected to a computer when you want to use your crypto.</li><li>Online wallets: Keys are stored in an app or other software – look for one that is protected by two-step encryption.</li></ul>
