Copywriting and content writing, although both are used to connect with audiences online, they have different purposes.

Whereas, the former advertises or markets text that drives sales through the use of e-mails, landing pages, and advertisements. While the latter is usually for entertainment purposes, often educational. The latter comes in the form of blogs, e-books, and informational web pages.

I have personally seen 2,684 companies that are b2b, seed stage and based in Europe. Of those, I’ve met in person or had a call with almost 600. Unlike the larger number, these 600 are companies where I’d at least spent time speaking with the founders and understanding the company, so I felt it was a better data set to use for this analysis.

In this analysis, I’m hoping to propose a method for venture investors to reduce the learning cycles and base those faster learnings on far more data points.

Why You Need A Financial Plan?

The goal of an early financial plan is not to demonstrate how great the opportunity is. The goal of an early-stage plan, especially for first-time founders, is to show investors you truly understand what drives growth.

Unless your team has a proven track record, your financial plan should serve as a tool to convince investors you know what you are talking about. Use it to show where you are going, how fast you want to go and most importantly, explain how you will get there.
