This form of time dilation is also real, and it’s because in Einstein’s theory of general relativity, gravity can bend spacetime, and therefore time itself. The closer the clock is to the source of gravitation, the slower time passes; the farther away the clock is from gravity, the faster time will pass. The team found that a multiply-connected universe about three to four times larger than our observable bubble best matched the CMB data. We live in an expanding universe , and at large scales the universe is expanding at a rate that is faster than the speed of light, so you could never catch up and complete the loop.
