Self Improvement

Moving in the direction of assertiveness is uncomfortable for people who aren’t used to it. We need to develop the right habits, and that comes through practice.

Community, education, and role models are important in this process. By surrounding ourselves with assertive people, following their example, and drawing on their advice and mentorship, we learn to be assertive.

Our internal speech is regulated by a brain signal called the corollary discharge. When we speak, an internal copy of our voice is generated simultaneously, so we can hear ourselves speaking(in our mind)even before we speak.

It is a fascinating insight for both kinds of people: Those who cannot imagine having a constant inner monologue, and those who are surprised that there is no inner voice for some.

Diffusion is the movement of particles from higher to lower concentration, and is a kind of Brownian motion. Other factors like increased temperature, an increase in particles or their size, or atmospheric changes can affect the rate of motion.

Some examples include:

  1. The Movement of dust motes in a room.
  2. Diffusion of pollutants on the atmosphere.
  3. The movement of holes of electrical charge in semiconductors.

Why Is Random Movement Called Brownian Motion, and What Does It Do?

  • Ghosts have often been thought of as vehicles for justice. In Kenya, a murdered person may become a Ngoma - a spirit who pursues their murderer. In Russia, the rusalka is a spirit of a woman who drowned and now lures men to their death. She may be released when her death is avenged.
  • Ghosts can also be friends and protectors. Many people think that their deceased loved ones are watching over them and even guiding them.
  • Many people believe that death is not the end of existence and that the dead can communicate with the living.

Why so many of us believe in ghosts
