7 Ways to Maximize Misery 😞

Our brains are fantastic tools, but we are never taught how to use them or the conditions required for their ideal functioning. ~Flow~ is when this tool will surprise you. Flow, is a state of mind achieved when one is completely oblivious to their surroundings and completely indulged in their work. For ideal workflow, and to make the most out of the time utilized one must get into their flow. To gain satisfaction from what we do, we must get into the state of flow and must stay away from activities that bring us immediate gratification There are 7 steps and 3 strategies to ~flow~

<ol><li dir = "auto">Know what is to be done</li><li dir = "auto">Know how to do it</li><li dir = "auto">Know how well you are doing it</li><li dir = "auto">Knowing where to go with this task, having a plan leading you to completion</li><li dir = "auto">Perceiving the significant challenges</li><li dir = "auto">Perceiving the skills required</li><li dir = "auto">Staying away from distractions</li></ol>ticking off each of these steps gets you a step closer to the desired state of flow.

The task you choose must be a bit challenging. Picking something that doesn't intrigue you underrates your attention. We don't want that do we? A challenge is what we want. That's when we see an opportunity.

Strategy #1 - Oooh, this is interesting!

We must have a clear final destination. However, it is important to know that the journey is always more important than the destination. It is in this journey we find out interesting things about ourselves, we test ourselves. Always thinking about the goal is not good either, that's daydreaming, we used to do that back in school. Only thinking about the goal interferes with our ability to work at the current moment. Every Olympic swimmer wants the gold. They have a solid goal too. but the one that works towards it is the one who gets it

Strat #2 - No, not the map, the compass please

I am sure you can do that, but when it comes to optimal performance in tasks, a single task is what we should be focusing on. All 100% of that precious concentration you have should now be on the task, not on cat videos. Your brain has 2 parts to it, the conscious and the subconscious. When you start with a certain part of your conscious brain on a task, slowly with time your subconscious comes to help....and that my friend is when you attain flow. Your mindfulness helps you reach the flow Now we all know that there are plenty of distractions around you, getting rid of which will help you.
