Opening Up The Mind

Knowledge through observation opens up the mind about things that we probably knew as otherwise from sources like books or other sources. While observation should not be for the purpose of "disproving" something, it could incidentally give information about long held opinions, helping us get an alternative understanding of things. This makes observation powerful and original in its form.
