Musical Rhythm

Some say that changing up the rhythm unforeseen by the listener can get new musical artists discovered easily. But I wouldn't necessarily agree on that and would argue that it wouldn't harmonize with the rest of the musical piece and lead to disorientation likely break the flow. This thought has been bothering me for a while and I would love to know your thoughts. Comment below
