Like any new technology, ChatGPT has faced criticism. StackOverflow, a popular software developer site, banned ChatGPT answers to programming questions. Administrators cautioned that the average rate of getting correct answers from ChatGPT is too low, making it substantially harmful to the site and users. The journal Science also banned ChatGPT text in January, with the Editor in Chief stating that an AI program cannot be an author. Elon Musk also expressed concerns over OpenAI training ChatGPT using Twitter's database, which led to the end of the exercise.
