5. Connections and Analogies:

They are often talked about as helpful study techniques. 

Try to make a deliberate effort to teach what you learn to someone else and, in doing so, you will likely be forced to explain concepts with relatable metaphors and analogies.

Simplify and summarise concepts when learning. If you are able to explain in simple terms or using analogies to a 12-year-old, then you have truly mastered the subject.

Analogies are beneficial; they make complex problems easier to communicate and increase understanding. Using them, however, limits our beliefs about what’s possible and allows people to argue without ever exposing our (faulty) thinking.
