Mirsudiar Aluj, Norieen Yaakob, Ika Ayel, Sasa Sobrie, Haikal Yaakob, Linda Rosli and Juvina David. The Lobak Merah reported that these seven children were living at a boarding school and they didn’t return to school that day because they believed that they were going to be punished for swimming in a nearby river without their teachers permission. So, we have kids doing what kids do, testing boundaries and exploring, and then they start to worry about getting in trouble. It looks like a teacher had seen them, so, I suppose they felt the need to hide or get away? So they entered the jungle and got lost. Some people might question as to why they felt anxious about going back. I of course don’t know, but if the school’s punishment policies are making the kids scared enough to run into a jungle, it might be time to re-evaluate.
