Much of our time is spent in autopilot, and it can be difficult to change how we act. A simple exercise to practice to shake things up is to identify how you want to act, and then intentionally choose to do something entirely different. For example, if you identify the urge to scroll instagram or sit around, then take that moment of identification and set an intention to go for a walk or cook a meal. Although unassuming, this practice may disrupt old habits, and if you continue to follow this model, you may find yourself in interesting new places or routines in no time at all.
