We humans have two selves within us - Lower Self and Higher Self.
Lower Self is more animalistic - compulsive and reactive in nature.
Higher Self is more human-like - conscious and aware.
However, Lower Self is easier to access and dominates us most of the time, while accessing Higher Self requires effort and willpower.
Lower Self is influenced by our compulsive nature and surroundings, and does not guide us towards fulfilling our purpose and goal. On the other hand, Higher Self leads us towards purpose and fulfillment.

Humans are driven by emotions. While making decisions, emotions act as fuel for decision-making. This often leads to reactive or compulsive decisions rather than the best suitable decision to solve a particular problem.
To use the mind or intelligence at its best, it should focus on one thing, such as health, wealth, family, religion, clan, or nation. Only then can you harness the best out of your mind and think rationally.
No one is born to think rationally, but with practice and perseverance, one can train their mind to think rationally without being affected by emotions.

We manage to find evidence that confirms what we want to believe.
