I know being the eldest sibling is hard. For me, I've always had conflicts with my parents because they've always been so strict to me when it comes to my grades at school even though I know I know I'm doing good since I've never had grades less than 83%.

My parents always pushed me to focus on my grades; it's okay to abandon your friends as long as you don't abandon your grades, they say.

But I still maintained my relationship with my friends.

Now that I'm in 10th grade and my sister is in 2nd grade, I understand why.

"I want to be like my sister. I want to have high grades and earn many medals"
