While different societies around the globe are working to get back to their "normal", recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic rampantly looks like the attainment of our mask-free world.

Taking into account the environmental contamination issue that remains unresolved as well as the reality of infectious diseases, public health ought to consider the normalization of post-pandemic mask wearing that could prove beneficial to individual health, limit wide-spread contagion, and reduce financial burden on health systems.
