Cubism

Traditional African art, and the way Japanese artists drew multiple views of the same subject (like with the 36 views of Mount Fuji from Hokusai) are other sources of inspiration for the cubist artists.

Also known as Cesanian Cubism for his major role in the movement. The beginnings and trial, done by Braque and Picasso. A famous piece of this periode is "Les Demoiselles d'Avignon" from Pablo Picasso (1907).

The best know part of Cubism is analytical cubism, defined by a profounder deconstruction and almost monochromatic colours.

... consists of a more minimalist and coloured version of cubism, in which everyday objects or fragments are included (which, at the time, was revolutionary).
