Herd Immunity.

Botched attempts at maintaining an effective lockdown, imposing restrictions on one area, whilst people simply moved to another, less restrained locality, have led to the inhumainity of depending on herd immunity.

For this to work, about 80% of the population needs to be immune, by way of vaccines or gaining natural immunity from the disease itself. Then, of course, there will be a degree of "collateral damage" (that's us).

Before these vaccines were available, I had accepted my death was inevitable, said my goodbyes and got my affairs in order.

There is a real, human cost to every life lost.
