Although Ayodhya is recognized all over the world because of Lord Rama, there is another reason for the people of Korea to connect with Ayodhya. According to the mythological documents of Korea, a princess of Ayodhya became the Empress of Korea.

It is recorded in the mythological history of Korea that about two thousand years ago, the princess of Ayodhya, Suriratna nee Hu Hwang Oak, came from Ayuta, that is, Ayodhya, to the city of Kimhye, located in Gyeongsang province, South Korea.
