You have to link a higher pleasure to finishing a project or an assignment. You have to link higher pain to leaving the assignment to the day of its delivery.
You could go for a drink after you finish an assignment earlier than supposed to, or you could play video games after you finish it.
And if you fall into the whole loop of doing the assignment later, later and later, link a huge amount of pain to that.
