1. It’s important to look at life like a beginner and to have a beginner’s mind in everything that you approach. Only this way, your mind is completely open, you’re a blank slate, and you’re humble. If you think you know everything, your mind is fixed, and it’s closed off to learning something new.2. You have to continue to challenge yourself in order to grow. You can’t just do the same things and expect better results. You have to get out of your comfort zone, do something new, try something different, and take some risks to move on to the next level.

Things that Aileen learned this past year 

Before moving on to the future, we have to reflect on the past, because this is where we’re going to get our learnings and our feedback from.A great way to do that is through journaling based on some good prompts. All the prompts that Aileen is sharing in this video are based on her 2024 Artist of Life Workbook (you can find the link in the description below her video). Even if you don’t have her notebook, you can simply use any notebook or Word document to answer these prompts.

Reflect on the past year...

<ul><li>What did I learn in 2023?You can write about your life lessons, or you can list the skills that you learned this year.</li></ul> <ul><li>How did my life evolve in 2023? Reflect on how you grew and how your life changed throughout the course of the year.</li></ul>﻿<ul><li>What about 2023 am I most grateful for? Make a list of all the things for which you are most grateful this year. (You can list just a few, or you can journal as many things as you want.)</li></ul>

3. It’s important to detach your self-worth from the results. Sometimes we challenge ourselves, and it fails, making us feel bad about ourselves. Instead of letting failures and mistakes make you feel down, take them as pure information.And use this information to try again and do better next time. Look at the things you do as experiments. Approach everything in your life with a detached mindset, as it’s not about things going perfectly; it’s about doing, trying, and learning. Everything is information that will teach you how to do better next time and move to the next level.

You can summarize it in a phrase, a sentence, or maybe even a word.</li></ul> <ul><li>List all your highlights and accomplishments from 2023 that you’re proud of.</li></ul> <ul><li>What worked in 2023? What were your wins? What were the things that worked for you, whether it was something big or small? Maybe you added a positive habit, or maybe you adopted a new positive belief this year.</li></ul> <ul><li>What didn’t work in 2023?Name at least 3 mistakes or failures that you had this year, and then write what you learned from them.</li></ul>
