Was There Any Solution?

As you know, Frankenstein didn't fulfil the request to make a companion for his creature, and this led into developing even more demonish qualities of the 'being'.

Story ends with guilty feelings of the Monster, but it leaves fearful emotions to the readers because Victor couldn't kill his enemy , and 'being' was left wondering in human world.

Was there any chance to change this from happening?
