While we can't say it certainly, i think that within this question lies the main idea of the book. Isolation made a monster not- Victor, and this path of transformation shows not the fundamental nature of some unbelievable creature, but us - human beings!

Why Frankenstein's Creature Became Evil?

"Satan has his companions, fellow-devils, to admire and encourage him; but I am solitary and detested"- says the Monster

The story told by a "Monster" about his "friendly cottagers" reveals that the creature was seeking meaningful relationships even since it first learned to discernment all five sences. This isn't only a proof that Victor's 'Monster' was kind deep in heart, but can even be a great model of how we grow and newborn develops.What caused creature's isolation and then transformation?Difference is the only answer. He was eight feets tall, odd and new for this planet , of course this made him frightening for all human beings, even for the young girl's father who attacked his doughter's saviour.

'Fiend' Wasn't Bad Since The Beginning

I was benevolent and good; misery made me a fiend. Make me happy, and I shall again be virtuous.

Alienation described by the author can be a metaphor demonstrating how cruel we are in the real word to people different from us .Those who have unusual visuals, habits or even beliefs and ideas usually get autcasdted like the creature in "Frankenstein"... We need to change this!

First human beings were also greedy, Remember why god created Eve? Because beauties of heaven, safety and harmony wasn't enough for Adam, he was bored and needed someone else to connect with, and then Eve also wanted truth in shape of an apple, peace wasn't enough-they seeked more...

The indomitable nature of man

As you know, Frankenstein didn't fulfil the request to make a companion for his creature, and this led into developing even more demonish qualities of the 'being'.Story ends with guilty feelings of the Monster, but it leaves fearful emotions to the readers because Victor couldn't kill his enemy , and 'being' was left wondering in human world.Was there any chance to change this from happening?I think there was until Frankenstein's last breath, he should have accompanied his creature and became his friend maybe this bounds would have perished monster's agony and desire of wormth from alike being

Not only is the main character interesting with his struggles, theories, sinful actions caused by delusional thoughts, lost self-esteem, and the awful environment where he lived, but also every other character in this masterpiece has his/her dark side, and they all suffer from guilt. Dostoevsky made none of them bad in general, but rather showed their nature as just human beings with their full picture, making neither of them a monster or wrong, but tragic.

Genre And Impressiveness

Since i love this book with whole my heart , and am a great fun of Dostoevsky's work in general, i can't stop myself from explaining why i became obsessed with it and it's main character

Crime and Punishment focuses on the mental anguish and moral dilemmas of Rodion Raskolnikov, an impoverished ex-student in St. Petersburg who formulates and executes a plan to kill an unscrupulous pawnbroker for her cash. Raskolnikov argues that with the pawnbroker's money he can perform good deeds to counterbalance the crime, while ridding the world of a worthless vermin. He also commits this murder to test his own hypothesis that some people are naturally capable of such things, and even have the right to do them. Several times throughout the novel, Raskolnikov justifies his actions by comparing himself with Napoleon Bonaparte, believing that murder is permissible in pursuit of a higher purpose. Dostoyevsky conceived the idea of Crime and Punishment in the summer of 1865, having gambled away much of his fortune, unable to pay his bills or afford proper meals. At the time the author owed large sums of money to creditors, and was trying to help the family of his brother Mikhail, who had died in early 1864. Projected under the title The Drunkards, it was to deal "with the present question of drunkness ... [in] all its ramifications, especially the picture of a family and the bringing up of children in these circumstance, etc., etc." Once Dostoyevsky conceived Raskolnikov and his crime, now inspired by the case of Pierre François Lacenaire, this theme became ancillary, centering on the story of the Marmeladov family.
