In school, when someone is being slightly sarcastic, or having a dry tone, you may not pay too much attention to it. However, in real life and especially during a business negotiation, if someone shows the same attributes and you get uneasy, you should trust your gut. Normally, there will be a ton of money involved and you may be taking too much risk by not trusting your gut and going ahead with the deal. It’s okay to take a break, think more about it and then make a decision.
