The second part of self-discipline is self-determination. Self determination means determining the path your life travels. Some people believe that fate, luck, or some other force outside their control shapes the outcome of their lives. People who feel that life is determined by chance circumstances or by being in the right place at the right time are more likely to doubt and fear their future than people who know they are in control.
