Exploration doesn’t need to culminate in bullet-pointed certainty about anything. Thoughts and feelings don’t need to operate with an itinerary. It’s okay to hold something for a long time, look at it, turn it over, feel it, think about it, turn it over again, talk about it, write about it, and then look up and say, “I don’t know.” It’s okay to not have closure.

It can be tempting to put things off or delay completing tasks simply because you’re worried about the outcome being less than perfect.
Just remember that it’s okay if things don’t turn out exactly how you had them in your head.
Make a public commitment, to people who will hold you accountable. You don’t need to publish your writing each day, but just write at least 5 minutes a day.
It can be any type of writing and it doesn’t have to be good, so let go of your desire for perfection.
