I have an example of this ,a friend of mine, while she was in highschool she got in a relationship with a boy but she had strong self respect which enabled her to set her boundaries in the relationship. But after some time the boy wanted to break those boundaries, she indeed loved him but her self respect was on the line. Thankfully she did the right thing at the end, she stopped the relationship, This was hard for her ,but she had to do it so as to not regret in the future.
