Self respect enables you to set, raise and stick to standards whether in relationships, career ,jobs and so on. It enables you to set boundaries in every aspect in life.It enables your actions to align with your values and principles and it allows you to not let people work all over you.

Importance Of Self

However, there are times where your self-respect is tested.I have an example of this ,a friend of mine, while she was in highschool she got in a relationship with a boy but she had strong self respect which enabled her to set her boundaries in the relationship. But after some time the boy wanted to break those boundaries, she indeed loved him but her self respect was on the line. Thankfully she did the right thing at the end, she stopped the relationship, This was hard for her ,but she had to do it so as to not regret in the future.

Many of us , our self respect is tested but we have to remember and do the right thing which aligns with our values and principles and integrity. So as to conserve it.

In essence,self respect should be catered for in our daily life.It is us to respect our selves first, for others to respect us as well.Lots of love💞
