History Of Metamask

MetaMask was created in 2016 by Consensys** employees Aaron Davis and Dan Finlay. It was initially developed as an open-source browser extension to simplify the interaction with the Ethereum blockchain.

2016:MetaMask is launched as a browser extension.

2019: MetaMask faces challenges with Google Play and Chrome Web Store due to its popularity and instances of fake apps.

2020: MetaMask releases its official mobile app for Android and iOS.
