History of TON

1. 2018: Telegram announces TON and conducts a private ICO, raising $1.7 billion.

2. 2019: TON testnet launches, allowing developers to experiment with the network.

3. 2020: TON mainnet launch is delayed due to regulatory issues with the SEC (US Securities and Exchange Commission).

4. 2020: Telegram abandons TON due to regulatory pressure, but the community continues to develop the project.

5. 2021: The TON Foundation takes over the project, rebranding it as Toncoin.
