God doesn’t want you to have the possibility to worship a statue or anything that you think can resemble anything of his likeness. He doesn’t want you to worship an idol, he wants you to worship him. You don’t need anything to worship God. All you need is him, and he wants it to be this way. So it’s him and him alone.
A good way to apply this to your life is to simply follow it. Don’t make anything that you think could be God and definitely if you do. Don’t worship it for that could serve as a “god” or an “idol” in the process.
