L(1): The One-Trick Pony

This person:

• learns one thing (typically through their role)
• chooses to do that one thing over and over again for the rest of their career...
• without improving their skills and competencies over the years

It's not always the physical jobs (barista, forklift operation, etc.)—it can happen in "thinking" jobs like teaching and programming, too.

Why does this happen?
