Even Jesus was rejected by those closest to Him. He wept over their unbelief but never turned from His purpose. From the cross, as He suffered at their hands, He prayed for them: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34). His example reminds us to remain steadfast in our calling.
