The Impossible Task

The Impossible Task

We have trained our mind to try and perform the impossible task of constantly changing the external environment to suit the needs of our psyche so we feel safe. We can’t control the weather. We can’t control traffic patterns. We can’t control other peoples reactions or moods or temperaments. But we can control our own reactions to these stimuli. To have a healthy psyche, you need to stop asking it to change the world for you. Stop asking your mind to make the world around you “safe”. Singer states, “The truth is, everything will be okay as soon as you’re okay with everything!”
