Skimming through the contents of your book helps you gauge which chapters will be of most use to you and, therefore, you can skip to when time calls for it. Going back to the previous tip, it’s not necessary for you to read your book cover-to-cover (unless it’s fiction) so, you can try to only read the chapters that you need.
