Siddhartha by Herman Hesse is one of the best book I have ever read in my life. Especially in a critical point of my life. The core theme of the book is that we have to choose our own paths in life. The Siddhartha in the book is a contemporary of the Lord Buddha. He sees that everyone is moving behind the lord Buddha in search of Moksha the ultimate bliss. But Siddhartha finds that one can't attain this by blindly follow others we have to find the truth ourselves and find our Moksha.
It is not for me to judge another man's life. I must judge, I must choose, I must spurn, purely for myself.
