The fact that one book can change your life never fails to amaze me.  This is one of those and it literally did change my life . I think when you ask God to show you the way , he does ✨ in his own ways .I remember in some page it said that the book chooses it's readers and not otherwise .

I think  When you think that you don't know anything, only then are you capable of knowing everything . I got answers to so many things that I had in mind . And they really did resonate with me .

This book must be read with an absolutely open mind . I think we must become like a child handed over with an alphabet book for the first time while reading this . I really would recommend for any spiritual seeker . Someone who is ready to go beyond themsel

Hope

At this juncture in my life, or perhaps should I call it a journey? Anxiety has become a part of my daily life. It's like  a ball bouncing off of me there is no stopping, Perhaps only intervals. But there is hope I think. As long as I am there, there is hope.

Anxiety

First of all I stop trying to "tame" it. Think of it like this , a mother differentiating between her own kids . What would happen? well the disaster is near.My normal thoughts and my anxious thoughts are from the same brain. What right do I have to differentiate between them? And the more I try to name it as a bad feeling , the more it increases my tendency to shift to "good feeling" which again increases my anxiety. You see ? it's  a vicious loop. Obviously we don't want that. We just want to break out of the loop . Right?

"Taming" my anxiety

So whenever I am troubled by my anxious thoughts, I give myself a little self-talk. Trust me it works.So , I say "Okay I am having anxious thoughts , anxious thoughts I accept you entirely . With my body, with my heart and with my mind. I completely accept you just like any other thought" And this talk has to be loud . Only then it can have any effect !  So the next time you are starting to have any anxious thoughts . Try this

It was different. All these days when I sat and closed my eyes it was dark. But today there was light . Perrhaps more than the light that was outside . But this bright white light didn't hurt . It was soft as though surrounded by milk. And I didn't quite understand when I saw this . It was there waiting for me to embrace it . As a mother waits for her long lost child .

Meditation has no goal. Meditation is the goal . It's not about getting from meditation it's about losing what you are not . And gaining peace .

To me , Rereading a book is like wandering through a museum dedicated to my feelings . Where I can look at everything I felt when I was reading that book with wonder , but I can't quite really touch it . Do you feel me ? The wind up bird chronicle is one such book that I will always cherish . Many more may come and go but this one is a part of me , a functioning organ.

I have realised that sometimes you are utterly alone on your journey and you may not know your destination.But I remind myself that I don't have to know my destination . I just have to know the next stop and the next start . And sometimes , it's so hard and so lonely . But I have to do it anyway for my own betterment . I must know that healing feels like hurting sometimes . And that there is light out there and I know it because it shines from my own body and my own soul .

"Logic is doubtless unshakeable, but it cannot withstand a man who wants to go on living ". The Trial by Franz Kafka is such a riveting read! Joseph K, the protagonist of the book is arrested for no particular reason; or rather a reason that's never stated in the book.
The court forms the motif and everything and everyone belongs to the court. Throughout the book K struggles to find a way to navigate this legal system he's trapped in. The chapters unfold and everything plays out as if in front of the reader's very own eyes, as if the reader is the judge.

Review

The language, the characters and the pace is inimitable! At times I had to put it down just so I do not finish it too soon :). Anyone who loves unique themes and wants an end that leaves them insatiable must pick this book :)

Often times we have heard or read about living in the present. But this idea never made sense to me . At least not entirely! But today it has my heart.Why does this make sense ? By continuosly living in the present you are creating the future. Let's take this say I have a negative thought. I act and I live exactly according to this thought continuosly in my present.
