Go crazy liking things YOU LIKE as You will work with the supposed algorithm, attracting like minds to You. Like items, follow People Who seem to be doing what You think is fair. Just as You check out Other People's Closets when They like You, Others do the same. Also, You're helping their item to get circulated more, possibly end up on Depop favourites, more exposure means a chance to sell! Encourage Your friends to like Your items. Follow People Whose wardrobes You like, They may follow You back.

Liking Is Creating Your Algorithm, too

Support those Who support You, it's how small business runs. If the account doesn't show what You'd like to buy or sell, don't follow it. If it creeps You out or there are photos You don't like - don't follow.I also won't follow Someone with over-the-top prices, dirty/wrinkled looking clothing, or all size 6-8

Follow People Who Follow You

Chat to People if They ask questions, be transparent about where You obtained Your stock (You don't have to be specific). They have no right to ask financial details. The age demographic on Depop immediately puts it in to a different category of how business is dealt with. In this way, it is much more relaxed and fun is encouraged.Offer Your Customers entertaining experiences and They will respond.There are creeps everywhere these days, including Depop, just make sure as a Seller You don't get involved with illegal matters! There will be Children and Paedophiles, You still need to be polite.

Be Friendly

This demographic of folks love scrolling, absorbing knowledge, searching, buying stuff to make Themselves feel good, love that dopamine hit Apps give Them, love online and sometimes deliveries, too!If You can make sure the end process is as exciting as the online process, You will score repeat Customers. Ecological and hygienic wrapping, free gifts, a handwritten note and a printed invoice, plus of course getting the item in good condition will help You get a good review and 5 stars 🌟 🤩 I like to inform a Customer about the product, which also helps the description come up in a Google search

Having attractive pictures certainly count as Everyone says.Options! Curation! Display Your Closet so People think "that bag, those shoes, that skirt" or "every different colour option!" They may still scroll on, but it's a lovely way to display Your wares. Think of how in department stores items are presented and how You can group things, even just to attract Customers.People may have found one item from Your shop somewhere on-site, then might look in Your store for a bundle. I find bundling shipping to be useful. I only express ship, when You explain it's tracked, good Custmoers agree to it.

Closet Looks

It is quite okay to have clutter on Depop, as long as it's not absolute crap. The standards are better than Marketplace. You are better off giving things away than having something that is out of line according to Your brand-style. You might think You are making money but ultimately if You stick to Your style, followers will notice.All Your new posts go to Your followers 🙄 and elsewhere! Be encouraged!I notice that if I start posting, I get follower traffic and likes on other items more frequently, too. So consider that You are being seen the more effort You put in.

Post As Often As Possible

The AI suggested reposting items works as well as new posts. All You need to do is change the post and resave it.I suggest if it hasn't sold - adding to the description, more photographs, changing the categories and lastly reducing the price.It seems if You move around items in Your Closet (You need a PC to do this) this causes more interest, too. I get good sales when I do this. It could mean, I'm guessing, that it moves in it's priority when a Customer is searching on the site.No work on Closet = No salesThe PC version has more abilities for People Who are running a business through Depop.

Maintainence

Sure, We all want to sell pricey items, but some People need or want inexpensive items for Themselves or gifts and You need to be there to provide.Depop takes a very small commission so it is easy to sell lower priced items.Hey, there may be some things that You'd normally be giving away - get some coins for them and deliver them in good condition to a new Home.You may have wholesale connections? Great! Sell on Depop and get a nice profit 📈 👍 Also, give discount always. It encourages sales AND multiple sales. Accept reasonable offers. Ignore dumb offers.

Workable Theory: Stack Em Deep, Sell Em Cheap

On Depop, these are very useful. Clients do word and phrase sentence searches, You want to turn up in these if Your item is appropriate 😉 You can also tap hashtags to search that way.Hint : mention a word in the description, You don't need to repeat it in the hashtags or categories, all the options will come up in a search.Some types of items have a massive amount of options to scroll through.For the verbally able with specific and creative tendencies. Categorically, the theft is not because of anger, vengeance nor Mental Illness.There is not a Psychological statement that relates to Greed, despite many studies. “Accumulating Wealth” can be seen as an OCD. Disregarding the rights of Others whilst doing so can be seen as an Antisocial Personality Disorder, but it is best not to Self-diagnose Others and leave that to a Professional.

Kleptomania Is NOT INSANITY!

Occasionally the perpetrator may hoard the objects, or surreptitiously return them. Some People hoard objects because They are “Stimulation Seekers”, this Person may enjoy loud music, flashing lights, junk food, good times and talking loudly in public. This Person’s House may be cluttered and loudly decorated to achieve maximum stimulation at all times. To deal with putting off a Stimulation Seeker, manipulate the environment with sound and lights whilst things are unguarded.

Stimulation Seekers

Individuals with Kleptomania experience the impulse to steal as repulsive and against Their values. They are aware it is senseless and wrong. The Person frequently fears being caught and often feels guilty or depressed about the behaviour. The disorder may cause legal, family, career and personal difficulties. As We all know, being caught would be publicly embarrassing and usually these People are wealthy, They pick on People or Organisations with less resources than Them.

Fear Of Being Caught Stealing

Being caught could mean Court-time and/or Gaol-time. This can be inconvenient and embarrassing. People with Famous Names still act out as Kleptomaniacs and run the risk. Risk-taking is part of the game, referring to any pattern of social interaction with well defined rules. They are looking for a response from the Person They offend against, as stimulus. The response They seek determines the attempt at manipulation of the Other Person and what They steal from Them. This delves into Dark Psychology which is another topic.

Kleptomania is a rare condition and is more common in females. No cure exists, but treatment with talk therapy, behavioural therapy, systematic desensitisation and medication such as antidepressants may help end the cycle of compulsive stealing.

Maybe not the washing – that’s a personal obsession that no Other fcker can wash clothes as well as I can (except MUM ❤). I am very particular with My clothes. Well, in case You were not aware, I have been diagnosed with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy. These days, it’s well under control and I’m even reducing My medication under My Neuropsychiatrist’s guidance. But it is a very disabling dis-ease when not treated, and considered a Mental Illness.So, I will tell You a few, brief things about this bizarre disease. While I was an inpatient and in recovery as an outpatient, I went to lessons at a Private Hospital which helped Me learn a lot of aspects of Mental Illness. Some of these notes include that information. I have also studied Psychology at Adelaide Uni.

Temporal Lobe Epilepsy

It is necessary to relax… and do the things You enjoy. You may find Yourself enjoying Your time less. It is therefore important to focus on what You really want to do, as long as it not harmful to Yourself or Others. When You’re not feeling well, postpone major Life changes. Major Life Changes like relationships, finances, dependents, family care – if possible should be put off. Say “NO” to helping Others.

Things You Must Do, Part 1.

Resolve Personal Conflicts… because it causes stress and anxiety. Talk to a counsellor, psychologist, psychiatrist or friend about it. It is likely that if You talk to Your Friends about too many problems, They’ll get tired of it, so if You are like Me, choose Your Friends wisely. Or write a Diary. Be aware clever hackers have access to Your online Diary.

Control the amount You work!Avoid long hours and additional responsibilities, allow time for rest, relaxation, food, exercise and medication reactions. Don’t allow Yourself to be overwhelmed with new commitments.Exercise regularly 🦸‍♂️ Sunshine, fresh air and exercise is optimum. But if not, inside is okay, too. Walking, swimming, yoga, dancing, golfing, wiifit and going to the gym can ease the tension in Your muscles and relax Your mind. It also helps with brain to body movement skills, training neural pathways after any damage from TLE or any accident that caused it. Sunshine gives Vit D.

I may be grumpy or off with the fairies because of lack of sleep, medication or fuel. I may need to shower with Someone sitting outside, or sit down to talk without nervousness. Give Me a nice drink and a cookie. I need to be told and believe it’s true that help is here or will soon be at hand, I’ll be safe, it’s not going to get any worse.

I have a situation where My mind is hyper-vigilant about security and fear. It creates stress, migraines, allergies and chronic pain because I am also Temporal Lobe Epileptic. It’s a side effect that I picked up from the way a Person treated Me and this is how My Brain has reacted to it. SO I have to do a lot of self-soothing. It is hard to devote time to, but well worth it. Think of it as a Vitamin S. Self-Soothing creates an endorphin rush, giving pleasurable feelings toward the end, when You are more in control again.
