Introduction 

Though most scholars agree that “Baa, Baa, Black Sheep” is about the Great Custom, a tax on wool that was introduced in 1275, its use of the color black and the word master led some to wonder whether there was a racial message at its center. Its political correctness was called into question yet again in the latter part of the 20th century, with some schools banning it from being repeated in classrooms, and others simply switching out the word black for something deemed less offensive. In 2011, news outlets reported on the proliferation of “Baa, Baa, Rainbow Sheep” as an alternative.

It’s hard to imagine that any rhyme with the phrase goosey goosey in its title could be described as anything but feel-good. But one popular version of the ditty is actually a tale of religious persecution. Some years after the song’s first appearance in the historical record, it was appended with some disturbing lines. “There I met an old man, who wouldn't say his prayers, so I took him by his left leg and threw him down the stairs.” Ouch!

According to noted English folklorists Iona and Peter Opie, “It is very probable that they had a separate origin. Some say Humpty Dumpty is a sly allusion to King Richard III, whose brutal 26-month reign ended with his death in the Battle of Bosworth in 1485. In this speculative version, King Richard III’s horse was supposedly called “Wall,” off of which he fell during battle. He was bludgeoned so severely his men could not save him, becoming the last king to die in battle. Historians long thought King Richard III was humpbacked. Shakespeare perpetuated this myth, famously portraying him as “a poisonous bump-backed toad” in his historical play, which was first performed in the early 1600s.

“Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary” first appeared in Tommy Thumb’s Pretty Song Book in 1744. Since that time, people have argued about who the Mary in the song was. The darkest interpretation contends that the rhyme refers to the Catholic monarch, Mary I of England (a.k.a. Bloody Mary). They say the “garden” in the verse is England, and the contrariness mentioned in the song alludes to her bloody persecution of Protestants. As for the “silver bells” and “cockle shells?” They were torture devices used by Queen Mary’s executioners on her Protestant subjects.

Better start observations in the morning, between moonset and sunrise: this way, you’ll get 1-2 hours without the 92%-illuminated Moon lighting up the sky. In the Northern Hemisphere, the radiant is always high in the sky. The farther south, the more likely it will appear above the horizon during the daytime

By the end of January 2023, comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) will pass perihelion, and on February 1, it will come closest to the Earth. It will be the best day to observe the comet because, at this time, it will be the brightest. Currently, C/2022 E3 (ZTF) can be seen through a telescope. By early February, it will get bright enough to be visible through binoculars or, according to some forecasts, even with the naked eye. This year, this is the only comet this bright, so don't miss out!

A phantom bus was once the cause of many freak accidents on a road in West London. Many mysterious phenomena have been recorded in England. They began to compose stories and legends about this ghost. Commuters within the area began to fear that if they ever encountered the ghost bus, they might meet a terrible fate.

The very first witness claimed to have seen a car driving along an empty road when suddenly, a strange bus appeared. The driver of the car got scared, abruptly swerved his vehicle, and hit a pillar. He was killed on impact. After the incident, the bus immediately disappeared. This happened in 1934.A few years ago, a phenomenon called the phantom bus started appearing on the road. It was moving in the oncoming lane at a very high speed. Any unfortunate driver who encountered it would try and steer clear and end up crashing into something. In most cases, people were dying on the spot.

One of the victims was lucky enough to survive. Later he was taken to the police station. He said, "I turned around the corner, and saw the bus moving! The headlights were shining, both floors were lit, and there was no one inside, neither the driver nor the passengers! I, of course, turned the steering wheel, drove out onto the sidewalk, and slightly hooked on the fence. And the bus immediately disappeared."

The driver who made such a statement to the local authorities of North Kensington in London, of course, could have been drunk, or hallucinated, or fell asleep at the wheel, and later tried to shift his blame onto the English ghost bus. But can this be said about the hundreds of drivers who experienced the same mysterious red double-decker bus rushing towards them?

The logo of a well-known company was drawn on red bus number 7. When accidents became more frequent, this company changed its name and logo so that people would no longer have any suspicions about it. Sightings of a ghost bus in the same place all the time became even more terrifying. The driver and passengers were absent, and the brand and color of the bus were the same. This phantom bus usually appeared at 1:15 AM and would always disappear without a trace.

But still, to this day, many drivers try to avoid this haunted road.

After all dead men don't need to breathe right? Something was wrong. People don’t get buried alive accidentally. Coffins nowadays even aren't roughly crafted pine boxes. Also, nobody talks to those below the world. This man knew something, something that might help me.

I quickly began to plead with the man, begging him to dig me up. I was buried alive and there was no way he could know it. "For the love of God call for help or do something before it's too late." I cried out in terror. The man replied in a tone that caught me off guard," What wrong are you saying ! Loving God is not my job you fellow. I won't stop now and you shouldn't prevent me from doing my job." He continued, "You should be happy as you have already been selected for Plot 666 of Brayhigh. This will be your new home and don't fear as I'll care for you".

I was dumbstruck by this man's callousness, completely caught off guard. Life and death are sacred rituals and no one can treat it like a game of cat with woolen ball.I couldn't image someone refusing help when they need it the most. I was being treated as a pet trapped in a dank and dark cage. With a hardly audible voice I ask in a light tone,"Sir, would you mind if I ask what's the plot no. 666 ?"

The man paused for a moment before speaking again and then answered, "Plot 666 is where Dominic Evans was buried, an electrician who accidentally fried himself when he grabbed live wire." He added as an afterthought, "Oh yeah, it's gonna be your rest place too." I couldn't believe it, there was no one else down here. I started to cry out loudly in frustration. To be continued....

Scary Saturday: Midnight Stories 

Where am I ? A voice echoes through the darkness, but I cannot understand what it says. There is something comforting about being able to hear your own thoughts after all though, so I wait patiently for my eyes to adjust before trying again. This time there's no answer except silence. On the other side - just loneliness and solitude all around. The wooden walls that serve as my prison seem to be getting closer, as though they want me to suffocate on the air that lies trapped inside them.

The splinters from these rough cuts dig into my skin as though it all were crafted especially for my size - and maybe it was In this darkness all but forgotten thoughts creep into your mind: what would happen if I don't get any better soon? Can this really continue forever? What will happen when I finally run out of oxygen ?I can feel the air passing through a small hole at the top of my container, and it feels like I'm being suffocated. But it isn't because there isn't enough oxygen. It's because of how small this box makes me feel all by myself inside it and with no light or way out.

Panic rises inside me as soon as I start screaming for help since no one can hear you over everything else is happening around. I quickly assessed that something bad had happened and began crying out for help, but all I could do was to make broken sounds as my vocal chords became sore by screaming. Eventually this feeling passed as well and I could only manage little whimpers until I finally pass out from exhaustion.

I woke up to the sound of music off in the distance. It was a sad dirge as if they're playing in someone's funeral. I felt oddly melancholy and I could feel being in my own funeral. I must be buried alive and now they are having a memorial service at the grave. I couldn't help myself and began crying. My voice was cracking as the swelling lymph nodes made it difficult for me to speak. Despite the maltreatment my throat tried its best to produce sounds with dignity but all that came out was an abandoned animal crying for help that only added insult onto injury.

The faint echoes of the grave diggers' task haunted me, but not in the way you might think. It wasn't horrific until each shovel full of dirt they threw on my coffin made me feel as though its hinges were being twisted backwards through my chest that I knew there was no hope left at all for me. I was left alone once again, in the darkness. Although this time it didn't bother me. It was over the claustrophobia of being shut in without any light or company and waiting for death by suffocating myself with sleep - induced peace at hand.

I could think clearer than ever before. Life had a new meaning for me. The barrier between this world and the next became nearly nonexistent. I could feel myself pressing against the veil that separates us from eternity and as if by some divine will or maybe just chance I was given the answer, we've all been searching for: what happens after we die?I felt closer than any other living person could ever hope or achieve in their lifetime - this mystery was right before me, right then but I couldn't quite understand everything yet. It was at that moment; I heard the whisper...To be continued....
