The Gospel means “good news”. It is the “good news” of Jesus Christ that provides forgiveness of sin for ALL those who believe.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to Earth to die for our sins and rose again on the third day, giving us hope for eternal life if we choose to accept him as our Lord and Savior.

16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. (John 3:16, ESV)

Since mankind sinned, we are all guilty of breaking God's law. This means facing physical death and eternal punishment in a place of separation from God also known as the "second death".
We sin every day and have fallen under God's condemnation.
Our punishment for sinning is two-fold: physical death and eternal separation from God.
