Any movement at all.</li><li>Commit yourself to continuing that tiny step every day. Get accountability if you need it, and set up reminders so you don’t forget.</li><li>Keep taking tiny steps, creating a good feeling about this endeavor and about yourself. This good feeling is a powerful thing.</li></ul>When you notice yourself pushing it off, delaying the start, rationalizing why you<warningtag> can start “in a few minutes” shake that off. Just take the first step. After that step, the other steps are a lot easier.</warningtag>

<ul><li>When you get disrupted, notice this and notice any tendency to be harsh with yourself about it, or resentful towards life or other people about the disruption.</li><li>Shake off that feeling and instead, tell yourself that life is an uncontrollable river and you just have to flow with it. How to recognize bullying

If your child is being bullied, it's important that you help them understand that it is never their fault. Bullying is always more about the person who is engaging in the behavior and not the person being targeted.It's not up to a child to prevent their own bullying, but it can be helpful to have a plan in place for how to address it and potentially help stop it from escalating.

Have a plan in place

Practice phrases your child can use to tell someone to stop bullying behavior.<ul><li>These should be simple and direct but not antagonistic: "Leave me alone." "Back off." "That wasn't nice."</li><li>Your child could also try, "Yeah, whatever," and then walk away.</li></ul>The key is that a comeback shouldn't be a put-down because that aggravates a bully.

Create a list of responses

Role-playing is a terrific way to build confidence and empower your child to deal with challenges.You can role-play the bully while your child practices different responses until they feel confident handling troublesome situations. As you role-play, teach your child to speak in a strong, firm voice.

By age 3, your child is ready to learn tricks that may help them feel more empowered in difficult situations, including when being faced with bullying behavior.Tell your child to practice looking at the color of their friends' eyes and to do the same thing when they are talking to a child who's bothering them. This will force them to hold their head up so they will appear more confident.Confidence can help your child feel more empowered in a challenging situation.

Promote positive body language

Check in with your kids daily about how things are going at school. Use a calm, friendly tone and create a nurturing climate so they aren't afraid to tell you if something's wrong. Emphasize that their safety and well-being are important and that they should always talk to an adult about any problems, even problems that they think are "small" ones.

Keep an open line of communication

The better your child feels about themselves, the less likely the bullying will affect their self-esteem.<ul><li>Encourage hobbies, extracurricular activities, and social situations that bring out the best in your child.</li><li> Tell your child the unique qualities you love about them and reinforce positive behaviors that you'd like to see more.</li></ul>

You’ve got a great idea, maybe the next killer app. You launch, and the next thing you know, you’re wrapped up in a legal battle because, much to your surprise, one small component of your product uses technology that has been patented by someone else before you.  Whether you're protecting your product or protecting your company from infringing on someone else's, you must factor precautions into any product strategy.

Trademarks protect symbols such as words, phrases, logos and other visual identifiers that represent a brand or product. This can also include sounds, colors and building designs. Think of things like the MGM lion roar, Barbie pink and a Burger King restaurant. Trademarks are primarily used to ensure the uniqueness of a brand's identity, which builds consumer trust.

A patent protects a novel invention, including a design process or physical product. Patents are time-limited, typically for 20 years. They create monopolies for patent holders. When creating a product, process or design, it's important to determine if you could be infringing on an existing patent. Otherwise, you risk legal repercussions, even for inadvertent infringement. An attorney is needed for patent search and creation.

A copyright gives the holder exclusive rights to distribute, duplicate or recreate original works of authorship, which can include things like visual designs, software, graphic designs, web content and more. Trade secrets are meant to protect internal technology and processes that bring value to your business, and that would give others advantage to your detriment were they given access to such resources. In the last 2–3 years, the phrase “diversity of thought” gained momentum among many Tech leaders and beyond.&nbsp;Proponents of this approach argue the way we think and express our opinions, our eclectic personalities, the myriad of leadership styles and Myer-Briggs results, are just as, if not more, important than demographic diversity that focuses on one’s gender, Race/Ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, etc.

Self-claimed progressive intellectuals use “Diversity of Thought” as a convenient excuse to not challenge the status quo while comforting themselves being complicit in the continued underrepresentation of marginalized groups of people in systems they inhabit.
